Youth Sports

At the Tillamook YMCA, our youth sports programs provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids to learn, grow, and build confidence.

We offer a variety of activities designed to develop physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With a focus on positive experiences, our programs help children stay active, make new friends, and cultivate lifelong healthy habits. Join us today and watch your child thrive, both on and off the field!

Baseball and Softball

The Tillamook YMCA is committed to teaching baseball and softball skills, character development, and sportsmanship. Whether your child is a returning player or brand new to the game, we welcome them! We also work to remove barriers to participation so that every child can play.

This spring sport is for participants 4 years only (T-ball) and through 8th grade and is offered through the following programs:

  • T-Ball (4-6 Years Old, Coed)
  • Y-Ball Rookies (1st-2nd Grade, Coed, Coach Pitch)
  • Little League Baseball (3rd-6th)
  • Softball (3rd-8th Grade)
  • Senior JBO Baseball (7th/8th grade)

Seasonal registration information can be found here.

Volleyball

The 2nd-4th grade division is for players looking to just get started and/or steadily improve in their volleyball skills. This level should be able to serve underhand well by the end of the season. They should be able to bump and string together rallies by the end of the season.

The 5th/6th grade division is for players looking to improve their overall game play. This level should be able to serve underhand well and serve overhand by the end of season. They should be able to bump, set, and rally. Players will work on spiking if possible.

Seasonal registration information can be found here.

Football

Our youth flag football programs for kids are perfect for families who want their young athletes to learn to play one of America’s favorite sports without the same dangerous risks that can lead to head injuries.

This program is geared primarily towards teaching the basics of football to 1st and 2nd graders. For more competition and physical development, we suggest the Tillamook Youth Football program for most 3rd graders. However, if you would like to avoid the contact or don’t believe your player is ready for that level, 3rd graders can still sign up for flag!

Tillamook Youth Football offers programing for advanced 3rd graders ready for contact football, as well as 4th-6th graders. This program is offered through the Tillamook County Family YMCA but it not a Tillamook YMCA program.

Seasonal registration information can be found here.

Basketball

Tillamook YMCA Basketball is offer at four levels for both boys and girls seasons:

  • Itty Bitty (4-6 years old),
  • 1st/2n,
  • 3rd/4th
  • 5th/6th Grade

Each level will progressively build on basketball skills and get increasingly competitive. Tournament travel teams are built based on levels of interest each season.

Seasonal registration information can be found here.
